The Government of India has decided to limit the access of foreign companies to the market of cellular networks. Now the state-owned companies BSNL and MTNL should implement projects for the modernization and construction of 4G and 5G networks only with Indian companies.

For these purposes, BSNL and MTNL received about $20 billion. The Indian government wants all of the industry’s core technologies to be developed domestically without much dependence on foreign players. India also wants all intellectual property to remain inside.

However, it is not clear how this will affect the development of 5G networks in India, because it will take Indian companies a lot of time to develop the appropriate equipment.

SpinLaunch announced the results of the tenth successful flight test of its rocket-free space launch technology, the Orbital Launch system. During the test, the company launched a NASA payload into orbit, after which it was able to return to Earth to analyze the effect of stress loads on components.

As it turned out, elements of the satellites could well survive such an extreme launch. Indeed, with such a launch technology, the acceleration was up to 10,000 g, and the “projectile” itself accelerates to a speed of 8,000 km / h. This allows you to launch small payloads into orbit, and much cheaper than using rockets.

The tenth flight test represents a watershed moment for SpinLaunch. Today we are bringing the Sub-Orbital Booster System to our customers, strategic partners and research teams. The data and insights gained from flight testing will be invaluable to both SpinLaunch (as we continue to develop the Orbital Launch system) and to our customers who hope to that we will provide them with low-cost, high-quality and sustainable access to space”, said Jonathan Jani, founder and CEO of SpinLaunch.

SpinLaunch has been developing its launch technology since 2015, although actual launches only started last year. The company claims that their method is much more environmentally friendly and much safer than classic rockets.

At the moment, the manufacturer plans to ship about 100 units by the end of the year, and up to 1,000 more in the first quarter of 2023. At the same time, to purchase, you need to contact the supplier directly, clarify the price and specifications before placing an order.

The laptop itself is the result of a partnership between China’s DeepComputing and Xcalibyte. It is built on the Alibaba T-Head TH1520 processor with four 64-bit Xuantie C910 cores, which operate at a frequency of 2.5 GHz. It also has a neural processor with a performance of up to 4 TOPS and an Imagination graphics chip.

The laptop is equipped with a 14.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory. Other features include a backlit keyboard, SD card reader, HDMI, USB-C, USB-A and Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth adapters, and a 1080p webcam.

For now, such a system will be of interest only to enthusiasts and developers, but this is the first mass alternative to x86 and Arm processors that has appeared on the market.

James Webb is the most advanced telescope available to astronomers. It allows you to take highly detailed images and conduct spectroscopic analysis of stars, planets and gas and dust clouds. However, he can only observe in the infrared and red ranges.

Several of his images were combined with images obtained by the Chandra orbital observatory. Chandra is an X-ray telescope, launched in 1999, that allows you to observe sources of high-energy photons, such as superheated gas and supernova remnants.

The merged images are in false colors, with X-ray sources shown in purple, and those taken by “James Webb” in the rest. Among other things, astronomers showed a view of the Cartwheel Galaxy and the Carina Nebula.

Thus, scientists hope to show the need for observations in all ranges, using several telescopes at once.
