The DJI range of drones has been officially expanded with the Avata model – this is a maneuverable cinewhoop class drone, it is suitable for filming movies or clips, and for racing (maximum speed is almost 100 km / h).

Avata weighs only 410 grams. It would be possible to reduce the mass by sacrificing the capacity (and, accordingly, the mass) of the battery, but Avata is not a champion in terms of autonomy anyway – it is about 18 minutes. But the drone can rise to a height of up to 5 km and move away from the user at a distance of up to 11.6 km (although rumors attributed to the drone a flight range of 10 km). Avata dimensions are 180 x 180 x 80 mm.

The drone records videos and takes photos with a 48-megapixel camera with a 1/1.7-inch optical format sensor. The field of view, as in the case of the Mini 3 Pro, is 155 degrees. There is a stabilization system, including due to the suspension of the camera (RockSteady 2.0 and HorizonSteady technologies are also supported). Supports 4K video recording at 60 fps. Videos and photos can be saved to the aircraft’s 20GB internal memory, but microSD cards up to 256GB are also supported.

The DJI Avata base kit, which does not include a controller or goggles, costs $630. The company notes that the DJI Motion Controller, DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 and DJI FPV Goggles V2 controls are compatible with the new product. So if such devices are available, then you can get by with a standard delivery package, which includes several interchangeable blades.

However, Avata is represented by the $1,168 Fly Smart Combo, which includes the DJI Motion Controller and DJI FPV Goggles V2 goggles. And the most expensive version is the $1,388 Pro-View Combo, which includes the DJI Motion Controller and the new DJI Goggles 2. Pre-order drones are scheduled to ship on August 30th.

What will the Pixel 7 and iPhone 14 have in

It seems that the new generation of Pixel smartphones will differ little from the current models. At a minimum, according to recent data, this will affect the younger Pixel 7 model.

What will the Pixel 7 and iPhone 14 have in common? New Google will be little different from its predecessor

According to insider Yogesh Brar, who at one time provided correct data about the Pixel 6, Pixel 7 will not receive any important differences from its predecessor. It will have the same 8 GB of RAM, the same 128 or 256 GB of flash memory, the same based camera with 50 and 12 MP sensors. The front camera will be new, but it’s an 11-megapixel sensor from the Pixel 6 Pro.

SoC Tensor G2 will also be new, but so far all data indicates that the processor part of this platform will be the same as that of the current Tensor, only with slightly increased frequencies. The screen will retain the resolution and frame rate of 90 Hz, but, unexpectedly, will become a little smaller: 6.3 inches versus 6.4 inches. Apparently, Google heard users and journalists who said that there is not much difference in size between the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and both feel large. True, it is not a fact that reducing the screen will lead to a decrease in size.

As for the battery, its capacity will allegedly be 4700 mAh, which is only slightly more than 4614 mAh for the Pixel 6.

As a result, the situation with the Pixel 7 will be similar to the iPhone 14, when there are very few differences from its predecessor, and there are no serious ones at all.

Google Photos service began to spoil old photos

Numerous complaints from users of Google Photos (Google Photos) have appeared on the network. In the past few days, users have started noticing “artifacts” in older image backups.

Google Photos service began to spoil old photos

The problem seems to affect photos uploaded more than five years ago. The photo shows lines, dots, “deep cracks” and what looks like water stains that weren’t on the original downloads.

Judging by the complaints in the support section of the service, old images can get a variety of damage. However, users report artifacts in Google Photos on all platforms.

Interestingly, some users note that opening corrupted photos in the Google Photos image editor removes “artifacts”. This suggests that the original versions may not be corrupted. But we will have to wait until Google releases an official statement on this matter.
