Even though LG officially exited the smartphone business last year, the company is actively developing new displays. At this year’s Display Week, LG announced that its research and development team has successfully created a foldable OLED device that can be folded and unfolded 360 degrees.
LG Display has unveiled an 8.03-inch foldable OLED touch screen. The uniqueness of this display lies in the fact that the panel can be folded with the screen in or out. It can be left at any angle from 0 to 360 degrees.
In terms of durability, LG is said to use UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) technology for the foldable OLED, and the outer screen is covered with an anti-fingerprint material. LG also claims that the 360 Foldable OLED screen is rated for 200,000 folds under normal use. Its resolution is 2480 x 2200 pixels, the density is 413 pixels per inch. The display covers 109.9% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Brightness is 430 cd/m2 in typical situations and can reach 600 cd/m2 in difficult situations.
The company also showed a 17-inch foldable OLED panel that folds up to 180 degrees and looks like a laptop without a keyboard.
What happens if you move the board from the new MacBook Pro to the old one? The network has already conducted such an experiment.
Apple recently released new Mac PCs based on the SoC M2. And a video has already appeared on the Web with an experiment on transferring the board from the new MacBook Pro to the old one based on the M1.
The boards themselves look identical, and there are no cardinal differences between single-chip systems. But such an operation is doomed to failure.
What exactly is the problem is still unknown. In particular, disabling Touch ID did not help to solve it. At the same time, if you return everything back, there will be no problems with the operation of laptops.
Such an experiment, even if it ended successfully, still has no practical value, but perhaps someone will find the cause of the existing problem and bring it to the end.

The era of netbooks is long gone, and there are very few mobile PCs on the market with screens smaller than 10 inches. The new MNT Pocket Reform is one of those.
But in fact, this laptop was not created at all for the sake of compactness, because, despite the small screen, the dimensions here are very far from optimal, and the thickness can terrify those accustomed to modern ultrabooks.
From the photos you can already understand what the device looks like and why compactness is not at the forefront here. Dimensions are equal to 200 x 126 x 45 mm, and the weight is not indicated at all.
In addition to the unusual design, another highlight of the novelty is the ortholinear keyboard. Not everyone is comfortable using these, which should be considered before buying.
Further unusual solutions do not end there. The heart of the novelty is not an Intel or AMD processor at all. It is based on a platform based on SoC NXP i.MX8M Plus with 4 or 8 GB of RAM. The platform is removable, so that it can be replaced with something else. The company itself also offers several other options as options:

- Raspberry Pi CM4
- Pine SOQuartz RK3566
- FPGA AMD/Xilinx Kintex-7
In addition, a platform from the MNT Reform model can be inserted into the PC.
The seven-inch screen is characterized by Full HD resolution. There are Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 adapters, a 4G or 5G modem (optional), up to 128 GB of flash memory, an SSD slot, a microSD slot, and an 8000 mAh battery.
The body can be made from anodized aluminum or recycled plastic to choose from. The set of ports includes a pair of USB-C, Industrial Ethernet and micro-HDMI.
Given the platform, it is clear that Windows is out of the question. The PC supports Debian GNU/Linux, Arch, Ubuntu, Void, Plan 9, Genode and OpenBSD.
No pricing details yet, but pre-orders will begin in July.

At the moment, the headset is expected to be introduced in early 2023. It is also likely that for the first time Apple will show it at an event in the fall, but the device will enter the market next year.
