340 hp, rear-wheel drive, 4.9 s to 100 km/h and record-breaking aerodynamics. Aion Hyper GT sports sedan introduced
In China, the official premiere of the unusual Aion Hyper GT sedan took place. This is a large model, but with the makings of a sports car. For example, in the basic version there is a single electric motor, but it is installed not in front, but in the back. And let the power is small, only 340 hp, but this is enough to accelerate to 100 km / h in just 4.9 s. In addition, controllability must be sharp.
However, later the Aion Hyper GT will also have an all-wheel drive version, two motors of which will produce 600 hp in total.
Just like a sports car, special attention was paid to aerodynamics here – as a result, the aerodynamic drag coefficient Cd is a record 0.19. On the bottom of the bumper, under the license plate frame, there are holes that allow air to pass under the bottom. In the normal state, they are closed by flaps, but at high speed they open, providing a kind of “ground effect”. And at the back there is a small spoiler that automatically extends when a speed of 80 km / h is reached.
Some sporty notes can be traced in the design. So, in front there are “scissor” doors, and the rear doors are devoid of a window frame. Wheels – 20-inch, with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The Aion Hyper GT is equipped with three lidars, HD cameras, millimeter wave radar and a range of ultrasonic sensors. All this is necessary in order to provide Level 2.5 autonomous driving technologies.
In the interior, nothing hints that this is a sports sedan. There is leather, a large panoramic roof, a high-quality audio system with speakers in the headrests, a digital dashboard with very laconic graphics and a large screen as part of the media system. And the key also attracts attention: it looks very unusual.
Despite the fact that the premiere of the Aion Hyper GT has already taken place, not all the details have been revealed yet. Perhaps the full specifications and details of this interesting car will be released during the first public display at the Shanghai Auto Show next month. As for the price, it is expected to start at $43,000.

Babyark smart child car seat unveiled with military-grade technology and multiple sensors

Introduced a child car seat that was created by Frank Stephenson Design in collaboration with Babyark, an innovative baby safety technology company. Its design is inspired by the egg.
The child seat is constructed with a carbon fiber frame and military-grade energy-absorbing technology that sets it apart from virtually all other child seats on the market. It also includes the SafeCoil steel-based cushioning system that gently slows the seat forward during an accident. An advanced side impact protection system has also been implemented.
Another addition to the safety of the child seat is a set of 14 sensors in the base that constantly monitor a wide range of parameters, such as whether the seat is correctly installed, and can also tell the owner if the child is properly secured. Accelerometers and gyroscopes can also register the force of any collision and notify users when the seat can be reused.
After working in the automotive industry, I always wanted to go beyond the simple design of car shapes. Safety standards and design in the industry have changed significantly, and yet we easily neglect the technology needed to keep children safe. Babyark’s breakthrough business approach and its open design, inspired by the protective forms of nature around us, aims to embrace passengers and provide safety and luxury for users.
