Therefore, the device will be launched already in 2023 or even in 2024. And if the original plan implied the arrival of the device to the asteroid in 2026, now we are talking about at least 2029 or 2030. That is, a delay in the launch for a period of six months to a year and a half will lead to an increase in the duration of the flight for a period of five to six years.

The total cost of the Psyche project, including the rocket, is $985 million. To date, 717 million dollars have already been spent. It is also important to note that the device will put the Falcon Heavy into orbit, which has been used only three times so far, although the first launch took place in early 2018. But in the near future, SpaceX will use this rocket much more actively, since four launches are planned before the end of this year alone.
