The entry-level GA107 graphics processor from the Ampere line is used in the GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3050 Ti mobile 3D cards, and now it has served as the basis for an entry-level 3D card for professional use (mainly accelerating artificial intelligence tasks) called A2 Tensor Core.

Interestingly, the A2 Tensor Core has 1,280 CUDA cores – exactly half the size of the full-featured GA107. Prior to that, Nvidia had GA107 variants with 2048, 2304, and 2560 CUDA cores. In general, the GA107 now has four versions.

A2 Tensor Core received 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 128-bit bus. The GPU is clocked at 1440 MHz (base) and 1770 MHz (Boost) for 4.5 TFLOPS single precision performance. The TBP value is 60W, so the accelerator does not need additional power. By the way, the cooling system is completely passive, and in a conventional PC the device occupies the space of only one slot.

VTB has uncovered a new method of telephone fraud, as a result of which a user can unwittingly provide access to his online bank to outsiders. Fraudsters call under the guise of employees of the support service of a mobile operator and inform the subscriber about the hacking of his personal account or phone. In order to prevent the user’s personal data from being exposed to the public as a result of the “hacking”, he is asked to dial a special USSD command on the phone, consisting of a combination of numbers, symbols and a phone number. As a result, the subscriber himself changes the settings so that calls and SMS are forwarded from his device to the number of scammers.

The scammers may then call again to report that the problem has been fixed, but in fact they receive codes from messages and can steal money from the user’s account by gaining access to their online banking. VTB experts recommend installing caller IDs on your smartphones that will allow you to distinguish a real call from a fraudulent one, or not to answer calls from unknown numbers. It is also important to be vigilant and, at the slightest doubt, end a conversation that seems suspicious. According to VTB, in May, the number of customer requests for calls from intruders increased by 70% compared to April this year, exceeding 640,000.

At the same time, it can be noted that the new CUDA cores are 21 times smaller than the RTX 3090 Ti, although such a comparison takes place simply for the sake of beautiful numbers.

The card also received 4 GB of GDDR6 memory with a frequency of 12 GHz and a 64-bit memory bus. As a result, the throughput is only 96 GB / s. For comparison, the same Radeon RX 6400 with the same bus has a figure of 128 GB / s, while the RX 6500 XT has 144 GB / s.

The GPU operates at frequencies of 1740-1785 MHz. Power consumption is declared equal to 75 W, that is, some models will do without a power connector, but the Colorful card has one.
