16-inch 2.5K 165Hz screen, Ryzen 7 7735H and GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop for just $875. Mechrevo introduced the cheapest new generation gaming laptop
The Chinese brand Mechrevo has launched a pre-sale of a 16-inch laptop, which can be called the cheapest next-generation gaming mobile computer. The device is available with both the GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop ($800) and the GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop ($875).
Actually, the low price is the main feature of the novelty. The fact is that even at the time of the announcement of the GeForce RTX 40 Laptop last month, Nvidia announced that laptops with lower models of the line (that is, the GeForce RTX 4050, 4060 and 4070 Laptop) will cost from $ 1,000. Obviously, $1000 is the price of the simplest versions with the GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop, and models with more powerful GPUs should be more expensive. But the Mechrevo example says that it is possible to release a truly affordable model with the GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop.
In the configuration of the laptop, in addition to the latest generation Nvidia GPU, there is also an AMD Ryzen 7 7735H (for Intel CPU fans there is an option with a Core i5-12500H), a screen with a resolution of 2.5K and a frame rate of 165 Hz, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The list of interface connectors includes three USB 3.2 ports (two Type-C, one Type-A), Mini-DP, HDMI 2.1, RJ-45. We can also note the presence of a Wi-Fi 6E adapter.

GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be four times slower than RTX 4090? New details emerge about Nvidia’s more affordable graphics card

The GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card will be released in mid-April, and more and more data about even more affordable cards began to appear on the Web. In particular, a TechPowerUp employee shared details about the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, which should follow the RTX 4070.
According to him, the new GPU will operate at frequencies of 2310-2535 MHz. “Premium” versions will boast a frequency of 2685 MHz. We don’t know exactly the characteristics of the graphics core yet, but the available data speaks of 4352 CUDA cores. In this case, the performance of the adapter will be approximately 22.1 TFLOPS. This, for example, is almost four times lower than the RTX 4090.
According to the leaks, the RTX 4060 Ti will also only get 8 GB of memory and a 128-bit bus. There are no rumors about the price yet.

Screen replacement up to $760, motherboard replacement up to $880. Named the cost of spare parts for Huawei P60, P60 Pro and Mate X3

Yesterday, Huawei officially unveiled the flagships P60, P60 Pro, P60 Art and Mate X3, and today a price list for repair parts for these models has appeared. Prices are unlikely to surprise, unless we are talking about replacing key components.
When it comes to the screen, the Mate X3’s internal display will cost the most to replace, with the screen alone costing $760, not to mention labor fees. Screens for the P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Art are cheaper at $335, $365, and $395, respectively. It is noteworthy that the displays of these models are exactly the same.
The price of the motherboard for Huawei P60 is $445, for Huawei P60 Pro it is already $630, and for Huawei P60 Art it is even $880. Even for the Mate X3, the motherboard is cheaper at $760.
The cost of other components is lower: the back cover is $55-85, the telephoto module is $85-120, the USB-C port is up to $22.

But Intel only managed to release competitors for the Threadripper 5000. Asus confirms that the Ryzen Threadripper 7000 will be released in the second half of the year

AMD is indeed going to launch Ryzen Threadripper 7000 processors in the second half of this year. Previously, these were just rumors and leaks, and now this was announced by an Asus representative.
Interestingly, he mentioned this in a video demonstrating the work of the Intel Sapphire Rapids WS platform, the processors of which are currently competing with the Threadripper 5000, but soon they will have to compete with the Threadripper 7000.
Threadripper 7000 will switch to a new socket and a new Zen 4 architecture. This will bring them support for DDR5 memory, probably PCIe 5.0 interface. In addition, the top-end Threadripper 7000s are expected to be 96-core, just like their sister Epyc Genoa.
