11th Generation Intel Tiger Lake-H 8-Core Mobile Processor Spotted Online

Intel’s Tiger Lake-U series of mobile low power processors launched back in September. Now the developers themselves confirm that the company is working on a series of high-performance Tiger Lake-H chips, and the first tests have appeared on the network. As part of the U-line, 4-core 8-thread versions are available, and Tiger Lake-H are the 8-core, 16-thread mobile processors with which the “blue team” is going to answer AMD’s updated lineup. In particular, Tiger Lake-H will compete with AMD Cezanne-H, which can be read about here.

Intel Tiger Lake-H is a 10nm chip with Willow Cove architecture on Intel SuperFin node. TDP is expected to be 45W, which is fully in line with the company’s released line of high-performance processors.

Earlier it became known that the Intel Tiger Lake-H series will appear in the first quarter of 2021, so in the near future there will be many tests and leaks about the capabilities of the upcoming new products.

An insider TUM APISAK found a mention of the first test in the databases, but the results can hardly be adequately evaluated, because this is an engineering sample. The chip was tested on the Userbenchmark platform, so this score should not be taken seriously.

In the test results, you can see that the overclocking frequency of the processor is lower than the base frequency – 2.75 GHz versus 3.1 GHz, respectively. In addition, the test indicated a screen resolution of 2560 √ó 1600 – this indicates testing with a desktop monitor. In other words, we have before us the results of an engineering sample that has not yet been installed in a laptop. This suggests that the launch of Intel Tiger Lake-H may not take place soon – the first quarter is big.
