11.2mm thin, 870g AMOLED laptop Samsung unveils new Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book2 Pro
The other day we learned that Samsung is preparing new laptops, and today there is more data about them.
Apparently, the official Samsung advertising brochure describing the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 and Galaxy Book2 Pro laptops has hit the Web.
Laptops will be very similar to each other. New items will be built on the basis of Intel Alder Lake processors. More precisely, Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs will be used, but it is not clear which line. Also, both models will be available in versions with a screen diagonal of 13.3 inches and 15.6 inches. In all cases, we are talking about Super AMOLED panels with Full HD resolution.
Batteries for 13-inch models will have a capacity of 63 Wh, while 15-inch models will have a capacity of 68 Wh. RAM will be from 8 to 32 GB, and storage capacity will be from 256 GB to 1 TB. The laptops will also have fingerprint scanners, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters, and the 15-inch version of the Galaxy Book2 Pro will also have a 5G modem. Also, the 16-inch version of this laptop will be available with a discrete Intel Arc graphics card. But Samsung does not disclose details here.
The dimensions of laptops will be similar (with identical screens), but still different:
- Galaxy Book2 Pro 13.3 – 304.4 x 199.8 x 11.2mm @ 870g
- Galaxy Book2 Pro 15.6 – 355.4 x 225.8 x 11.7-13.2 mm with a weight of 1.11-1.17 kg
- Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 13.3 – 302.5 x 202 x 11.5 mm with a weight of 1.04 kg
- Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 15.6 – 354.85 x 228 x 11.9 mm with a weight of 1.41 kg
That is, the smaller version of the Galaxy Book2 Pro will be incredibly thin and light.
As for the set of sweats, all models and versions will have one Thunderbolt 4, at least one USB-C and a microSD slot. The Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 will have another USB-C, the Galaxy Book2 Pro will have one USB 3.2, and the 15-inch version will also have HDMI.

The power of a modular laptop. Framework provides kits that allow you to upgrade to the latest Intel CPUs

Modular laptops on the market are a rarity. The Framework model is just one of those. And now it can be upgraded to the latest Intel CPUs.
Earlier this year, the company released an updated Alder Lake laptop, but now the manufacturer has said that owners of the older model will soon be able to buy a kit that will allow them to replace old components with new ones.
The old model was equipped with a previous generation Intel platform, which means that the motherboard also needs to be changed. Kits will cost a minimum of $450 for a Core i5-1240P board. For a fee with a Core i7-1280P, you will have to pay $ 1,050. You can also purchase a set of motherboard with CPU and a new aluminum cover. You will need to pay an extra $90 for the cover.
The kits are already on the site, but for now you can only pre-order.

First laptop with sub-flagship Intel graphics. Machenike Discovery Edition 2022 received Arc A730M

Intel video cards are still practically unavailable on the market, but sooner or later this will change. So, from today, the Machenike Discovery Edition 2022 laptop with a mid-budget Intel 3D card is available for pre-order.
The laptop is equipped with Arc A730M, which configuration includes 3072 cores and 12 GB of memory. Only the Arc A750M is older.
The laptop is also equipped with a 16-inch 2.5K screen with a frame rate of 165 Hz, a Core i7-12700H processor, 16 GB of RAM and an 80 Wh battery.
The laptop is asking for about $1,275, but a promotion is expected on June 6, during which the price will drop to $1,110. At the same time, there is no information about the date of delivery, so, perhaps, such a laptop will arrive to its customers only in two or three months.
