500 fps in Overwatch 2 at 1440p and Ultra settings

A few hours before the release of Overwatch 2, Nvidia published an infographic in which they presented performance data for various current models of their video cards in the game. Of course, all the attention here is on the new GeForce RTX 40 (Ada Lovelace) models.

According to Nvidia official data, the GeForce RTX 4090 is the only model that, at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and ultra settings, can provide frame rates in excess of 500 fps. The result is, of course, impressive. And it is even more impressive against the background of the GeForce RTX 4080, which is one step lower with 16 GB of memory – this model is capable of only 368 fps under the same conditions. However, both of these models are suitable for 360-Hz monitors.

The performance gaps between the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 are not that big anymore, but still noticeable.

Nvidia recommends using the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti when playing games at Full HD resolutions above 360Hz, while the GeForce RTX 3060 can be used with Full HD monitors that support 144Hz.

This model was previously leaked under the Vienna name, but promotional materials show that the name has been changed. In the brand line, the novelty will be one step higher than the T-Rex 2.

At the moment, we can definitely talk about more than 150 sports modes, a dual-band GPS module, 4 GB of flash memory, a heart rate sensor with a pulse oximeter function, and an autonomy of up to 14 days.

As for the early data, the watch was credited with a titanium case, sapphire crystal, a 1.28-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels and a peak brightness of 1000 cd / m2, as well as water protection (20 ATM). The announcement of new items is expected on October 13.

Foldable smartphone shipments to grow by almost 70 in 2022

Analyst firm IDC has unveiled its new study, according to which global shipments of foldable phones in 2022 will reach 13.5 million units. If we take into account that 8.1 million such devices were shipped in 2021, then the growth will be 66.6%. Experts note that the growth of the foldable smartphone market is largely due to the emergence of Samsung’s Flip and Fold lines. In particular, user interest is fueled by the recent launch of the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4, according to IDC.

In the future, sales of folding devices will also grow: for example, next year the supply of such models is expected to increase by 55.1%. In 2026, foldable smartphone shipments will reach 41.5 million units, with a compound annual growth rate of 38.7% between 2021 and 2026.

Analysts say the commercial market is ripe for the use of foldables as two-in-one devices that can replace both a phone and a tablet. But while the foldable phone market is expected to grow by almost 70 percent this year, they won’t go mainstream just yet. According to experts, such models will remain niche and flagship premium devices.
