1.6-inch AMOLED screen, heart rate and SpO2 sensors, GPS, over 100 training modes, up to 14 days of battery life and water resistance for 80 euros. Poco brand introduced its first smartwatch
The Poco brand today introduced not only the top-end smartphone Poco F4 GT, but also its first smartwatch. The novelty received a logical name – Poco Watch, but if this is really a novelty for the brand, then for the Chinese market the device has long been known as Redmi Watch 2.
Since the matter was limited to a simple renaming, Poco Watch repeats the parameters of Redmi Watch 2. Thus, the device is equipped with a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 360 x 320 pixels, heart rate and SpO2 sensors, and a GPS receiver. The watch supports more than 100 training modes, and the maximum autonomy reaches 14 days. There is also a water resistance of 5ATM – you can swim with a watch, but diving is not advisable. The cost of the device for the first buyers is 80 euros.

Is this the success of the expensive Watch Ultra? Apple says two-thirds of its watch buyers last quarter were new customers

Apple said that it has managed to attract many new customers to its smartwatches.
After publishing its latest quarterly report, the company revealed that in the past quarter, almost two-thirds of Apple Watch customers (nearly 66%) were new customers for this type of device, meaning they had never owned an Apple Watch before.
It is quite possible that this is due to the announcement of the Watch Ultra model, which, in general, is quite different from the usual versions, and is positioned differently.
At the same time, we know from the report that sales of wearable and home electronics in the last quarter at Apple decreased slightly. Unfortunately, Apple does not speak separately about watch sales – it is quite possible that sales have just grown in this segment.
Also recall that last year Apple took 85% of all profits in the smartphone market.
