Xiaomi today unexpectedly introduced the Mijia Glasses Camera smart glasses, which can be used for AR and VR applications. In the description of the novelty, the company noted that the work on these glasses has been going on for two years, and judging by the technical characteristics, the emphasis is on the camera.
At the heart of the hardware platform Mijia Glasses Camera is Qualcomm SoC with an 8-core processor. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, built-in flash memory is 32 GB. There is a dual-band Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth 5.0.
The glasses received a new generation Sony Micro OLED screen with a diagonal of 0.23 inches and a pixel density of 328 per inch. The glasses camera is a two-module system. One uses a 50-megapixel sensor, the other uses an 8-megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom (maximum zoom – 15x) and optical image stabilization.
Mijia Glasses Camera supports 100 minutes of continuous recording, and smart features include automatic translation from a variety of languages. The watch received a 1020 mAh battery with support for 10 W charging (it is connected using a magnet).
The weight of the device is 100 grams. The cost of the novelty for the first buyers (participants of the collective financing program) is 370 dollars, in retail glasses can be purchased for 400 dollars.
